Source registers

VehiclesDB combines data from the official sources below. Their licences require the original notices to be reproduced — we quote them unchanged.

• Argentine initial car registrations (DNRPA microdata)

  Contains DNRPA vehicle registration data (Ministerio de Justicia, Argentina) from datos.jus.gob.ar, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.

• Canadian fuel consumption ratings (Natural Resources Canada)

  Contains information licensed under the Open Government Licence – Canada (Natural Resources Canada fuel consumption ratings).

• German new car registrations by make and model series (KBA FZ10)

  Datenquelle: Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA), Neuzulassungen von Personenkraftwagen nach Marken und Modellreihen (FZ 10); dl-de/by-2-0. Data reconciled/normalized by VehiclesDB (changes marked per license).

• Spanish vehicle registrations (DGT microdata, MATRABA)

  Contains data from the Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT) vehicle registration microdata, reused under Spain's public sector information reuse terms (Ley 37/2007; datos.gob.es).

• Finnish vehicle register open data (Traficom)

  Contains Traficom's open vehicle register data (Finland), licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.

• Irish new private car licensing statistics (CSO table TEM20)

  Contains Central Statistics Office (Ireland) data (table TEM20), licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (© Government of Ireland).

• Luxembourg vehicle register operations (SNCA)

  Contains public data from the Luxembourg vehicle register (SNCA, CC0).

• Malaysian car registration transactions (JPJ via data.gov.my)

  Contains JPJ vehicle registration data from data.gov.my (Government of Malaysia), licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.

• Dutch vehicle register (RDW Open Data)

  Contains public data from the Dutch vehicle register (CC0).

• New Zealand Motor Vehicle Register (Waka Kotahi NZTA open data)

  Contains data from the New Zealand Motor Vehicle Register (Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency), licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.

• Thai new vehicle registrations by brand and model (DLT)

  Contains Thai Department of Land Transport first-registration statistics (gdcatalog.dlt.go.th), published as government open data ("Open Data Common").

• Ukrainian vehicle registration operations (MVS/HSC open data)

  Contains vehicle registration data from Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs (data.gov.ua), licensed under Creative Commons Attribution.

• UK vehicle licensing statistics (DfT/DVLA table VEH0120)

  Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0 (source: Department for Transport / DVLA, table VEH0120).

• US EPA/DOE fuel economy vehicle catalog (fueleconomy.gov)

  Contains US EPA/DOE fuel economy data (fueleconomy.gov), a US Government work in the public domain; DOE acknowledged as requested.
